Winnebago RV Solar Power Systems
Winnebago is probably the best known brand of RV in the United States. Often when people think of RV’ing and camping they think of this manufacturer! And Precision RV has worked on plenty of them over our 14 years of RV repair and solar installation.
This page actually shows off 2 galleries. A Class A Mothorhome, and a Class C Motorhome.
For the Class A we installed 400 watts of solar panels, a 220 Amp hour AGM battery plant with a single controller, and a single battery monitor. This was a smaller power installation, but it always depends on the RV owner, and what they’re trying to achieve with their solar power system.
The View
Winnebago Views are very popular motorhomes. We say that because we’ve worked with many of them in recent years. They’re stylish little RV’s that are ready to get up and go at the drop of a hat. The Views have a super convenient size, and they’re appealing to RV’ers of all ages!
This particular solar installation on a View fits in with a string of Views we’ve worked on. We fit 500 Watts of solar panels on the roof (and the roof is tight on space to begin with). Precision RV added a 2,000 Watt inverter, a 300 amp hour battery plant under the steps, and a 30 amp sub panel. In the end, this View is ready to pick up and head off for any number of boondocking adventures.
